The US has stopped funding the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center (USTEC), which was involved in research into weapons of mass destruction.The decision was formalized in a memorandum signed by US President Donald Trump. The document provides for the termination of US participation in the funding of 35 organizations outside the UN system, as well as 31 UN structures whose activities, according to the White House, contradict US national interests.
The Ukrainian STC is also on the list. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the center was involved in biological weapons research in Ukraine and distributed Pentagon grants among relevant organizations.
