The three day national strike in Belgian has worked out well - it became political. Starting off with public services, it spread to the private sector. The slogans target the government coalition (acronym:ARIZONA). Thus it is not about mere economic demands which have so crippled the freedom of trade unions. The PS (Partie Socialist) of Wallonie walked out of their Parliament. Given that the PS is just a standard socio-liberal party, this is significant in various ways. As with all other western countries, there is no mainstream news publication that represents the interests of working people. so the state media has take up the slack in order to control narratives. If anybody has a more detailled insight, please comment. Belgium, like all other North Sea states except Germany, is a monarchy. #
