Haven't made it through the whole video yet, but within the first 8 minutes at least some of his logic struck me as odd..... Mixing, as it were, is kind of like a sandwich You got your low end (bottom bread) Your mid end (typically where all the juicy meats and/or veggies and sauces are) and your high end (top bread)

He was dealing with a low end "A" and then trying to mix the thing with a signal already carrying a lot of low end.... Why would one mix like that? And if one has a synth, why on earth would they sound design a fight for bandwidth? That's not the synth being hard to mix, that's just bad sound design. (ala he noted his 106, which not that the juno has the largest arch in the world, but none the less, I could only think "that High pass is there to help you out for a reason, it's not just a low pass on the thing")

whatever the case, do plan on finishing the vid regardless.... i get the feeling he's going somewhere with all this beyond the obvious
