I broke some of the heater box rod retainer clips on the my
#t3 camper project.
While looking for replacements on the web I found that somebody has put up a model on
#thingyverse So contacted a local hobbyist that can print them for me for a third of what they would cost new.
Then there is the turbo charger of my engine that conveys engine oil to the exhaust which points to a worn out cartridge.
So I was looking to buy a new turbo online. What I found instead was a company in the UK that sells the cartridge incl. seals to repair the turbo, again for a third (or less) of the price of a new complete unit.
Apart from having saved money I love how easy it is nowadays to find
