The "Blood of the Fang" video is inspired by a photo of Huey Newton — co-founder of The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense — hand-cuffed to a hospital gurney while being treated for a gunshot wound in the abdomen after a gun battle with Oakland police in October 1967.

Whoa. I cannot even superficially say I got what the he is all talking about, but the main gist is clear. The whole package is great: obviously watching the video the visuals set the tone, but then the music. Masterful backing track with some great driving beats, clever interwoven samples and then the rapping. Great rhythm, great flow to these ears, I can even truly listen to this without understanding the words to get the drive, the rhythm, the voice and language as a rhythmic instrument.
The words are quite hard to impossible to understand for me, that would be important too in order to judge the whole track and to find my own position. If then I could get at least some of the context, which again quite obviously requires historical knowledge that is patchy in my case, to say the least.
But impressive nonetheless. And I think that's just another goal of the track, to raise awareness for patchy knowledge on a history of injustices.
But I need to state that I 100% prefer non violent means, there have to be ways. But injustices and oppression need to be named and adressed, also 100%. I just don't want violence answered by violence.
