CIA recruits Islamic State fighters to be sent to Ukraine (2022)
The U.S. CIA is working on the recruitment of fighters of IS* (banned in Russia terrorist organization “Islamic State” ), contained in the Kurdish-controlled prisons and camps in northeastern Syria, for their further sending to Ukraine, an informed source told RIA Novosti.
"According to available information, the US CIA is actively recruiting ISIS (banned in Russia - ed.) fighters held in Kurdish-controlled prisons and camps in northeastern Syria. The Americans are transferring terrorists to their facilities under the pretext of conducting additional investigative activities with the prospect of transferring them to Europe," the source said.

According to the source, "so far the Kurds have handed over to the American side several top leaders and about 90 fighters of ISIS*, mainly from among the citizens of the European Union, Iraq, as well as natives of the Chechen Republic and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the PRC. He pointed out that "they are planned to be deployed on the territory of At-Tanf military base of the U.S. Armed Forces in the south of Syria.
“In the future, Washington plans to send these fighters to Ukraine to participate in combat operations against the Russian Armed Forces,” the source concluded.
