I have been using it for a long time. However, in the settings on my computers I always set the documents to be saved in Microsoft Office format, so that counterparties do not have any questions.

I remember having to use it to open microsoft email attachments in .docx format when regional office sent them out.. and then sharing them to all the other shops.. because the morons in higher management forgot we were all running ancient donated XP computers with obsolete office installations and couldn't bloody well open them. We could only handle .doc !!.. I had it on a stick because we weren't even allowed to install software on the junkers... (joy of joys.. portable apps)

Of course some cretin ratted me out for actually making our jobs possible and I got hauled over the coals for "breaking the rules" regardless of the fact I had emailed area office at least 10 times explaining the hopeless situation...

I quit within the month.. useless stupid fuckers....
