Any definition of fascism that doesn't mention business does't define fascism. Authoritarianism is the basis of civilisation. Conservatism and national-conservatism exist since the church and the nation state. But fascism is the result of the liberal economy and the domination of the business class - the liberals, the capitalists, the bourgeoisie - which conquered Europe with the fall of the empires and their aristocracies after WW1. It is as such their rebirth in liberal form. #
