Stihl style

So my landlord had this pretty expensive #
Stihl high pressure washer that had a broken high pressure hose. The dealer he bought it from told him that he needed to send it to Germoney for #
repair (which costs a fortune and involves customs paperwork with a risk to be rejected by german customs)
He ended up buying a new one and asked if I want to have it which I said yes to of course.
During studying the user manual it became clear to me that this wasn't going to be an easy task. Stihl states in the manual "There are no user-authorized repairs for the pressure washer" because of user safety blabla..
I went to a local pressure hose specialist who shook his head when I asked for help. Stihl has their own #
proprietary hose connections which they are not even authorized to use. So no luck there.
Luckily I know a guy that knows a guy that... is sales agent for Stihl in Germoney. He arranged to send it over and now I have a working pressure washer for a fith of the price it would have cost new. Bonus: I was not injured during the hose swap.
Still, I am going to avoid Stihl in the future and will advocate against them.
