And I'm back with a new "big channel"!
So I was on Misty (also known as Mistpark 2022) for a while. I took it for the future of the nomadic social Web. To be more precise, I was on the biggest instance by far. There weren't many public instances, however.
A couple of days ago, I discovered that this instance had shut down with no announcement. So what do? I could have tried slightly "less stable" Zap instead or looked for a public instance of fairly new Streams with open registration.
Instead, I went back to where I once used to be: #
Hubzilla. For one, it offered me an instance which I don't think will disappear into thin air just like so. Several, actually. Besides, I thought I might need one or two features of Hubzilla which its successors can't offer me. Either way, I may go nomadic on a spare hub this time.
