Here's the interesting thing: in a Western-style capitalist economy, government involvement in the regulation of the economy should tend to be minimal, ideally zero.
In recent years we have seen how the state increasingly monetarily supports people and capital owners in Western economies, and no one is against this system. Schizophrenia (a combination of the incongruous) is evident. One could argue that there is a pandemic, the whole world is struggling.
Except that not the whole world, and the states (some pretend), and the owners of capital is not involved, their business to collect the cream at any rate.
