bookbinding Procrastinating by testing some ideas for a bind. That I'll have to print, cut and sew still… But I'm having ideas for the cover.
Fancy ideas. I also saw hand-marbled paper that'd be simply perfect for this bind. Alas, no spare money, because that'll go to my plan of purchasing a bulk cutter before Easter.
So, will have to not glue the full cloth to the board, but just the flappy backside. It still sits so snug against the board, that I'll have to pre-pierce the needed holes with a curved needle. Sadly, even the smallest curved needle is too thick at the end. Trying to get through the cloth with a straight needle, though, would give me holes too far apart…
That flimsy needle already is a little bent from the effort. 😅
Maybe I'll think of something smoother until it's time, but for now, that'll be the curse of action. Thankfully, Cygnus doesn't seem to be a too complex constellation to pull off.
