In previous posts there were reports of the Kiev regional government about the delivery of meat in the first and second quarters of 1933. This report is interesting because at the height of the famine, that is, at a time when all the dogs were to be eaten, in the Kiev region there are tens of thousands of tons of cattle for delivery. Which had to be fed all winter and kept somewhere..... The amount of feed needed to keep pigs, I think, all imagine?

There were also sows, milk producing cows (reports on milk yield in the first half of 1933 are also given in the previous post), egg laying hens, sheep for wool etc. (you can also find those reports in the previous post).

Well, in order not to say that after the delivery of meat in the first quarter of 1933 the peasants had nothing left, here is the report of the Kiev regional administration on the delivery of meat for August 1933

Which shows that in August 1933, the peasants of the Kiev region, "finishing the last dogs", gave another 20418 quintals of live weight of livestock

As I did not warn you about "...and my grandmother told me..." today it is one of the most frequent arguments against the Holodomor.

I respect all grandmothers in the world, and what they tell, but if these words are not documented (at least something) they remain stories.

If we believe the words, then let's believe everything they tell us.

2. Regarding the fact that not all areas were equally affected by the famine.

Of the more than 10,000 photos of those times, there is NOT ONE photo confirming the mass starvation of 1933.

Prison Conditions

A 1957 CIA document entitled “Correctional Labor Camps in the USSR: Transferring Prisoners Out of Camps,” on pages two through six, reveals the following information about the Soviet Gulag:

‒  Until 1952 prisoners were given a guaranteed amount of food, plus extra food for exceeding the norms.

‒  From 1952, the Gulag system operated on the basis of “economic calculation,” so that the more prisoners worked, the more they were paid.

‒  For over-fulfillment of standards by 105%, one day of imprisonment counted as two, which reduced the time spent in the Gulag by one day.

‒  Also, when the Soviet government had more funds as a result of post-war socialist reconstruction, it increased the food standards for prisoners.

‒  Before 1954, prisoners worked 10 hours a day, while free laborers worked 8 hours a day. Since 1954, both prisoners and free laborers worked 8 hours a day.

‒  A CIA study of a standard camp sample found that 95% of the prisoners were habitual criminals.

‒  In 1953, 70% of the “common criminals” of the sample camp studied by the CIA were granted amnesty. Within the next 3 months most of them were re-arrested for new crimes.

Thus, according to the CIA, approximately two million people were sent to the Gulag in the 1930s, while according to declassified Soviet archives it was 2,369,220 up to 1954. When compared to the population of the Soviet Union at the time, as well as statistics In a country like the United States, the percentage of the Gulag population in the USSR throughout its history has been lower than in the United States today or since the 1990s. In fact, according to a study by Souza (1998), the United States had a higher percentage of prisoners (relative to the total population) than the USSR ever had:

"In a small news report that appeared in newspapers for August 1997, the FLT-AP news agency reported that the United States had never before had as many people incarcerated as it did in 1996-5.5 million people. This represents an increase of 200,000 since 1995 and means that the number of criminals in the U.S. is 2.8 percent of the adult population. This data is available to anyone who works for the North American Department of Justice… The number of people convicted in the U.S. today is 3 million more than the maximum number ever held in the Soviet Union! In the Soviet Union, no more than 2.4% of the adult population was incarcerated for their crimes, but in the U.S. the figure is 2.8% and rising! According to a press release issued by the U.S. Department of Justice on January 18, 1998, the number of people convicted in the U.S. in 1997 increased by 96,100.

A remarkable OGPU document on the state of agriculture in the Ukrainian SSR after the famine of 1932-1933. The document was on the desk of Stalin, Molotov and Kaganovich.
Attention is drawn to the OGPU indications of sabotage of the sowing campaign and deliberate destruction of seeds and animals, as well as the unsatisfactory situation with planning for the 34th year.

HOLODOMOR ON THE TERRITORY OF UKRAINE IN 1932-1933 - FALSIFICATION

In the 1950s, the accusation was made against the Stalinist leadership of the Soviet Union that the famine of 1932-1933 was provoked to destroy the peasantry - the base of Ukrainian nationalism. At that time this accusation was not supported in the scientific world, as it was not supported by any historical documents (it will not be supported by scientists, as we will show below, and later). In the fifties, scientists already knew well that the author of the idea of organizing the "holodomor" in order to detach Ukraine from the USSR was Adolf Hitler. For the first time this idea of the chief Nazi" appeared in his book "Mein Kampf" in 1926.

The material for anti-Soviet propaganda the Nazis and Italian fascists-antikominternovtsy took bright: the mass reduction of the population of the earth as a result of the sixth epidemic of cholera and the pandemic of Spanish influenza (plague, the new "black death"), which began immediately after the end of the First World War and raged until 1926. The unprecedented scale of the diseases took place against the background of the flourishing of medicine in Europe and became the object of study and the appearance of illustrative material.
