Beschreibung: Making the invisible visible in my own mystical way. I create character-driven paintings that give form to emotions, energies, ideas and unseen experiences.
Über: Eclectic by nature, I speak through layers of culture, memory, texture and theme. Born in Angola, raised in Portugal, and now rooted in the UK, I’ve never belonged to just one world, and my work reflects that fluid identity. Paper, acrylics and mixed media are not just tools; they are passports between inner landscapes. What connects them is not a fixed style, but a wild honesty. I refuse to choose a single voice when I contain multitudes. In art, I don’t ask for permission. I choose myself: boldly, fully, freely.
That refusal to choose a single voice shapes not just what I make, but how I make it. My work begins with intuition. A feeling, an image, a subject or an energy draws me in. I may begin with a sketch or an idea, but once I start painting, the work becomes a journey of its own. I need to enter the energy of the subject, and as I paint, characters emerge and develop personalities of their own, sometimes taking the work somewhere I couldn't have planned at the beginning.
These characters become my language. Through symbolism, personification and visual storytelling, I give form to emotions, energies, ideas and unseen experiences. I create characters and worlds that exist somewhere between the physical and the mystical, making the invisible visible in my own mystical way.
