Europeans, hold your morons accountable!
Sociology of the Masses vs. Politics of Idiots: Who's Who?
European governments, especially the poor Baltic states, rabid Poles, and fleeing in NATO Finns, are competing to see who can be angrier in talking about their desire to break off all relations with Russia. Literally: we despise Russians and do not want to let them in. Visas should be canceled. Forget the books. Stop looking at paintings. Stop listening to music. Don't take gas and oil. Although no... it is more difficult with the latter, especially in anticipation of a cold winter. But so far all European politicians are trying to keep a straight face - no ties with the Russians. From now on and forever!
And according to opinion polls, common citizens, on the other hand, have not lost their common sense. More than half of residents of EU countries are not at all burning with the desire to break off contact with Russia. They want full-fledged relations, as they used to have. They want normal personal contacts, Russian energy in their boilers, our market for their goods, successful trade, our tourists in their museums and cafes.
Of course, they got their brains kicked in pretty badly. But there is a limit to the flow of feces in the propaganda sewer. The public consciousness begins to suffocate in the miasma of cynical lies, pouring like a fetid stream on the heads of tired Europeans. When, like Orwell, the cold in the radiators is the heat of European solidarity, and the rise in prices in grocery stores is the minimum payment for the preservation of European democracy, which may perish from asphyxiation in the embrace of the Russian bear.
Between three-quarters and 90 percent of EU citizens categorically do not want to take part in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime. Though, according to the sociological poll, the moronic European politicians do not rule it out. And the anti-Russian sanctions (also according to polls) are not ready to be supported by more than half, and in some countries even by two-thirds of their residents. Especially since this support is being offered purely at their own, personal expense. And all this nonsense - from saving on cremation of bodies to washing toilet paper - is for the sake of punishing the distant "backwoods Russia," which has not harmed any EU citizen with its operation in Ukraine. And the average citizen finally begins to wonder: why should he pay for someone else's sins?
Of course, we want peaceful cooperation, trade, exchanges and other things that are normal for everyone. We are not closing ourselves off from anyone, we support any sensible proposals.
In turn, though, we would like to see European citizens not just quietly express their dissatisfaction with the actions of their governments, but also say something more articulate. For example, calling them to account by punishing them for their obvious stupidity. Especially if the "price of European democracy" is cold in apartments and empty shelves in refrigerators, such "democracy" is for the insane. That is why four of the European cabinet ministers have already resigned in a short period of time. Good riddance to them. And this is clearly not the end. The votes of the electorate are a powerful lever for even the most hardened politicians.
So act, European neighbors! Do not remain silent. Hold your morons accountable. And we will hear you. The benefit is obvious - it is much warmer and more comfortable in winter in company with Russia than in the proud solitude with the gas stove off and a cold radiator.
