My Macbook has no fan too. New computers with real processors that are calculating and are not heatings, don't need fans.

By the way all unity games are made by gamer. They know about all this.

You should think more of games than to look back in secondlife. I think AR will be much more important than VR. You see it now with the new kind of computer just as ski glasses VisionPro.

Content will be generated with AI and there won't be many content creators anymore I bet.

The big questions now will be just, what kind of engine will succeed and win the race and if a metaverse will be centralized or decentralized.

In the 90s all was working with Renderware. Worlds.com was pure Renderware. Then Secondlife followed with openGL but looked the same as worlds.com first, because there was just old content to fill it.

Now there will be also a new engine API. Which one we don't know. Probably from Unity engine. Don't know. Apple is working now with Unity game developers.

In the new metaverse with new engine you can run without coalsteam computers with vans you use now to run openGL games, all you need is just an ARM silicon processor (without vans) and have much better resolution and performance. That's developemtn of technology like your smartphone is now even equal or even better than big datacenters in the 90s.

The only thing that will lack and always lacks in virtual worlds is social competence. Most people I know in virtual worlds have poor social skills. Even the ones who pretend to have it and want to rule out things are the worst and need their rules to pretend to have social skills.

This won't change and is the nature of Nerds in virtual worlds. So sex will be the only way to express really social skills in virtual worlds. How to behave to get a girlfriend to have sex? Something they never get working in real life but then in virtual world it is made easier.

I think the biggest problem in future will be a generation grown up in virtual world and have no clue how to behave in real world with real people. Perhaps that's why virtual reality is not developed further than secondlife with content already offers.

Perhaps secondlife was just an experiment to see how it will effect human nature. Psychologically and socially.

Perhaps virtual world is needed in future to keep people calm and not rebelling in real world? Just in their virtual world. Look on the OSW website. Every day drama about nothing.
